R. B. Thieme, Jr., Bible Ministries

The word of God is alive and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of the soul and the spirit, and of the joints and the marrow, and is a critic of thoughts and intents of the heart. (Heb. 4:12)

All Scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; that the man of God might be mature, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. (2 Tim. 3:16-17)

Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2 Tim. 2:15)

What God Wants Me To Know is the first volume in the Children’s Bible Studies series, a treasure-trove of ideas for parents and teachers looking for ways to communicate Bible doctrine at a child’s level of understanding. The series begins with basic doctrines for the very young child and progresses toward more advanced doctrines for the older child. These doctrines are taught through a series of stories which introduce the child to technical theological vocabulary and doctrinal concepts.

What God Wants Me To Know covers both the doctrines of sin and salvation, and defines the most basic instructions and techniques for living the Christian way of life. In this volume the young child will come to understand that Christianity is a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. He will learn that God reveals Himself and His divine will only in the Bible. He will begin to understand that God is vitally interested in him and all his concerns. And most importantly, the child will learn that to fulfill God’s command, “Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Pet. 3:18a), all God requires of him is his positive volition.
